- Job Description :
- Analyzing materials and data, conducting tests, selection, monitoring performance, insuring quality control.
- Liaise with the Engineer to secure the required approvals in coordination with the technical office and QA/QC manger.
- Be the point of contact between the construction team and store team to control the orders, material in and out to the project areas manually and though systems (Oracle) in place.
- Controlling wastage and waste impact arising from material use and implement a recycling plan to get the best optimization of the material and reduce the wastage to the minimum.
- Regular site walks to ensure best utilization of material.
- Creating documentation, material look ahead plan, maintaining inventories and ordering supplies.
- Stay up-to-date on construction industry standards, government regulations and new developments / innovations in the construction field.
- Investigating structural/arch / MEP issues and advising on material maintenance and repair if required.
- Calculating material costs and advising on the best products to use.
- Writing regular reports, highlighting concerns and prepare action plans for project engineers and managers.
- Job Requirements :
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
- +5 years of experience in same role in construction companies.
- Commercial awareness.
