Hiring Now Network Capacity Planning Engineer at WAVZ

Primary Skills : Knowledge of both WAN and LAN Technologies.

Role Description: The Network Capacity Planner must have at least 4+ years of experience. Capacity Engineering and Planning for short- and long-term projects.

- Responsibilities :

- Project oversight, tracking, and ownership.

- Oversee network builds from procurement to “In Service”.

- Financial procurement and Network BOM (Bill of Material) development

- Strong Interaction with design and architecture teams developing future networks

- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure new networks are built, migrated and, and decommissioned.

- Serves as the advocate, coordinator, facilitator, and central point of contact for Transport/Security/IP Core/Access capacity planning issues and methodologies.

Must Have Skills (Most Important) :

- Minimum of 4 years of network analyst experience, design and/or system capacity experience in data networking and telecommunications is required including expert knowledge of TCP/IP and a working knowledge of both WAN and LAN technologies. Preferably: Cisco

- Must think critically with a focus on high availability, resiliency, security, efficiency, budget, and operational support. The network architectures created will support nationwide mission-critical applications.

- Must have a strong ability to understand end-to-end call flows for deploying network services.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with regression analysis and forecasting of data.

- Minimum 4 years hands-on experience configuring routers, switches and related network equipment.

- Strong technical and analytical experience.

- Strong interpersonal and communications/presentation skills.

- Familiarity with finance and logistics support systems.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 4+ years.
